genU is currently recruiting an Instructional Designer to become part of our Commercial Product Design Team! We're on the lookout for motivated, innovative learning designers with a strong focus on solutions and a wide-ranging industry background.

 

The core purpose of the Instructional Designer is to develop engaging e-Learning and online content for training resources, designed for a wide range of audiences in both the corporate and community services sectors. Offering an end-to-end experience for our clients, this role will include LMS administrative support focusing on customer ease of use.   

 

As the Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for content development via research, consultation with industry, and review of current learning materials, to create innovative and engaging training resources in the genU Training CANVAS Learning Management System.  

 

This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity based at the genU Support Hub in Geelong, Victoria. Flexible, hybrid office/work from home options readily available. 

 

About You!  

 

To be successful in this role you will have:  

  • Relevant experience in training and instructional design in an education / RTO setting. 

  • Experience in using eLearning authoring tools and Learning Management Systems

  • Knowledge of adult education theory and skills in delivery of training

  • Highly developed skills in working with and developing training for a wide range of units of competency, learning types and delivery modes

  • Creative ability in training methodology

  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously including but not limited to; new design, review and improvement of existing resources and other projects as required

  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain networks and contacts and relate to stakeholders from diverse backgrounds

  • Demonstrated ability to work to project deadlines

  • Comprehensive skills in MS Office Suite 

  • Ability to monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction, and constructively manage stakeholder issues to ensure positive outcomes

  • Relevant qualifications in design and development and/or eLearning

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
