Hey You! 

As a Cafe Assistant, you will be part in all facets of the cafe operation, including basic food preparation, serving, cleaning and cash register operations. We will guarantee that the food is tasty and our coffee is some of the best in Broadmeadows we also have the friendliest team! 

We require someone that can work daily to support/lead the close of the café until 3.30pm (Monday – Friday)

You will be working as part of the genU Business Enterprises division who provide supported employment for people living with a disability. We are a social enterprise, committed to providing a supportive work environment while operating to the highest commercial standards. We are requiring someone with strong hospitality experience, we offer training in our ways of working and set you up for success.  You can hit the ground running and be confident in all areas of front of house.

 

About You 

To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate would meet the following requirements: 

  • Previous experience in a similar role; 

  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices; 

  • Efficient worker who can work well in a busy environment; 

  • High level communication skills; 

  • Ability to work well within a team environment and alongside people of all abilities; 

You will need the following checks: 

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain; 

  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You' Certificate of Completion or willingness to obtain;
