Employment Mentor
- Type of employment: this is a casual position
- Location: North Geelong & Surrounds (some local travel may be required)
- Pay rates: SCHADS level 3 - From $33.41 per hour + 11.5% Super + Casual Loading + Salary packaging option (qualifications + experience) + 11.5% Super
- Plus Non-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum each FBT year, plus additional meals and entertainment benefits.

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities? Do you have a talent to guide and mentor others on their path to employment? Our Pathways team is looking for a new Employment Mentor to join our team.
As an Employment Pathways Employment Mentor, you will play a critical role in assisting people with disabilities in finding, obtaining, and maintaining meaningful employment. Your job will entail providing personalised and group-based support through a variety of structured activities aimed at helping participants gain confidence, learn job skills, and set achievable goals.

Some of your key responsibilities:
- Support individuals using our customized employment model, guiding them to achieve employment-related goals.
- Work alongside with your team alongside with the participants and their supporters to develop, review, and update personalised employment plans.
- Engage in goal setting, skills training, and confidence-building activities that prepare participants for job readiness and workplace success.
- Offer post-placement support to ensure successful job retention for participants and satisfaction for employers.
- Complete comprehensive assessments to ensure participant and employer needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records, complete necessary documentation, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
About You
You will be an empathetic, caring with a commitment to making a meaningful impact on the lives of people with disabilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum Certificate IV in disability, community services, employment services or a related field
You will need the following docs and clearances for this role
- NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain;
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (WOM) or willingness to obtain;
- Working with Children's Check for a paid employment
