Hey You 

genU is looking for a Ground Maintenance Supervisor to join the team in Norlane! This role supports people living with a disability to learn new skills, develop confidence and flourish in a supportive workplace. The Ground Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on role that is responsible for leading a team of 2-3 supported employees to perform ground maintenance work at a variety of different sites.

 

Each day presents new challenges, and it is the Supervisor’s responsibility to use their skills and experience to find the best ways to keep everyone engaged and motivated while at work. Also, part of this role may involve working alongside another supervisor in a team of 2 that is responsible for all maintenance matters, including the general care of all grounds at one of our large customer sites.

 

About you

This is a hands-on position which requires you to assist our employees with varying abilities to reach their full potential.

 

You will need the following:

  • Relevant Industry qualifications or previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience leading small teams and supervising work
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in job well done.
  • Hardworking, motivated, and punctual attitude
  • A patient and caring disposition and the ability to make people feel at ease
  • A strong team focus with the ability to engage and motivate employees
  • Follow all safety guidelines and enforce safe operations
  • Willingness to work alongside people of all abilities
  • High level written, computer, and verbal communication skills
  • NDIS Screening Workers Check clearance.
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate of Completion.
