The Health Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Team at genU is dedicated to fostering a culture of safety and wellness within the organisation. We work closely with internal divisions to implement HSW strategies and initiatives, ensuring that genU moves towards a mature safety culture where everyone is "All Safe, All The Time."

 

We are looking for an Injury Management Specialist to play a vital role in managing workplace injuries and illnesses, both work-related and non-work-related.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to employees, supervisors, and managers in compliance with national legislation;
  • Develop and deliver injury prevention and early intervention services and procedures to proactively manage workplace injuries and illnesses;
  • Support the National Manager in developing strategies to reduce premium costs by identifying and prioritising the management of premium impacting claims.

This is a full-time ongoing role with the capacity to be based anywhere in Australia where genU operates.

 

Flexible working arrangements available, with no defined requirements for working in an office, but the role will require regional travel! 

 

 

About You:

Our ideal Injury Management Specialist will demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.

 

Essential requirements:

  • Certificate 4 in Personal Injury Management;

  • National RTW Coordinator training certification;

  • Experience in managing return to work including managing work related psychological injuries;

  • Knowledge of workers compensation legislation;

  • Career history to reflect experience working in claims management, return to work and/or injury management;

  • NDIS Workers Orientation Module or willingness to complete;

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain;

  • Highly desirable: Tertiary studies in Allied Health, OH&S qualifications.
