About the Role:

 

The Procurement and Contracts Officer partners with stakeholders to develop, source, and manage procurement and contract arrangements to effectively meet organisational, divisional and departmental objectives . The Officer supports the business through the management of centralised procurement and purchasing activities.

Procurement and Contracts Officer also assists the Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer to implement strategy, initiatives, work practices, policy and procedure, governance, and risk management practices, and represent the team in working groups.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of centralised procurement and purchasing activities.
  • Develop and support contract management plans, negotiate changes and modifications, supplier performance management and compliance requirements through effective supplier relationships to enhance business outcomes.
  • Plan and lead contract negotiations in the establishment and review of supply arrangements to deliver value for money procurement outcomes.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate procurement risks to enable the organisation to meet its obligations and maximise business opportunity.
  • Develop and document work practices, user guides, process flows and the alike to support policy, role continuity, customer experience, and for probity and audit purposes.
  • Undertake business needs assessment, supply market analysis and commercial risk assessments to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience with SAP or a similar finance or procure/source to pay system and,
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in an advisory or support position
  • Facilitate all stages of the purchasing lifecycle from planning through to monitoring performance
  • Ability to analyse data and developing/presenting business intelligence that influences change and strategy
  • Develop, manage, implement and communicate strategic sourcing and category management activities. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence leaders and drive people and culture outcomes.
  • Experience within a not-for-profit (NFP) or values-driven organisation will be highly regarded.

About You!
