Hey You

 

Are you a passionate about supporting those with complex disabilities and mental illness? genU is looking for a motivated Support Coordinator to join our longstanding, purpose driven and values-based organisation to make a real difference to people’s lives on a daily basis.

 

As a Support Coordinator you will provide Individualised support to participants with a disability and/or mental illness participating in the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

You will work together with the participant to implement the supports within the person’s plan for the purpose of building capacity and improving their health, well-being and participation within the community.

You will join and be supported by a passionate team of experience Support Coordinators and have access to a range of networking opportunities.

 

About You

 

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

 

  • Proven experience working with people with disability and/or mental illness.
  • Ability to network with local service providers.
  • Experience in support planning, working within a person centred framework.
  • Sound organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a Support Coordination position will be highly regarded.

 

You will also meet the below essential requirements:

 

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Disability or Mental Health, or other relevant qualification.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Must have completed or be willing to complete the NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You' orientation module.
