Matchworks is seeking a developing people leader to join our Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) team, partnering with the Business Managers as an Assistant Business Manager at our Midland and Ellenbrook sites.

  

You will be in integral part of the leadership team here at Matchworks and will be instrumental in leading a highly engaged, passionate, and motivated team so that we can continue to ensure that our services are delivered by capable and developed people, with a clear client focus, utilising innovation to ensure sustainable growth and adherence to best practice.

What you’ll do 

  

As an Assistant Business Manager, you will: 

  

  • Lead and support site teams to deliver high-quality, inclusive employment services for participants with disabilities. 

  • Monitor performance across sites, identify gaps, and drive practical service improvements. 

  • Coach and develop staff, setting clear expectations and supporting them to achieve strong employment outcomes. 

  • Manage day-to-day operational challenges, support escalations, and ensure compliance with IEA standards. 

  • Contribute to workforce planning, onboarding, and ongoing staff development to maintain a capable, engaged team. 
      

 

What you’ll bring 

  

  • Readiness to take the next step in your career with the ability to build trusted relationships and motivate teams. 

  • Proven success delivering employment or training services, particularly for people facing barriers such as injury, illness, or disability. 

  • Solid understanding of performance drivers, outcomes and targets within employment services settings. 

  • Confident problem-solving skills and the ability to guide staff through compliance, performance and service expectations. 

  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to creating inclusive, meaningful employment opportunities. 
      

Additional requirements 

  

  • This role involves travelling from site to site, so a driver's licence and willingness to travel is essential 

 

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
