genU is looking for a proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner to carry out comprehensive behavioural assessments tailored to our customers' needs and circumstances. Developing and implementing evidence-based behaviour support plans, this position will monitor the use and reduction of restrictive practices in alignment with the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.

What you’ll do 

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner in our Allied Health team you’ll: 

  • Deliver contemporary, person–centred behaviour support services to maximise quality of life and minimise behaviours of concern for customers.  

  • Make a commitment to the principles of supported decision making and respect for the voice of customers. 

  • Collaborate with customers, their families, staff and other key stakeholders. 

  • Observe customers in various settings for the purpose of gathering relevant information to evidence reports, plans and funding submissions.  

  • Complete relevant behavioural assessments such as functional behavioural assessments to support the development of a comprehensive behaviour support plan.  

 

What you’ll bring 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in an Allied Health discipline such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Speech Pathology, Social Work, or other related Healthcare discipline. 

  • Experience working with people with disability or registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with NDIS. 

  • Registration with AHPRA or awarding professional body where applicable 

  • Valid Drivers Licence 

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
