genU is looking for a proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner to carry out comprehensive behavioural assessments tailored to our customers' needs and circumstances. Developing and implementing evidence-based behaviour support plans, this position will monitor the use and reduction of restrictive practices in alignment with the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.

What you’ll do
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner in our Allied Health team you’ll:

Deliver contemporary, person–centred behaviour support services to maximise quality of life and minimise behaviours of concern for customers.

Make a commitment to the principles of supported decision making and respect for the voice of customers.

Collaborate with customers, their families, staff and other key stakeholders.

Observe customers in various settings for the purpose of gathering relevant information to evidence reports, plans and funding submissions.

Complete relevant behavioural assessments such as functional behavioural assessments to support the development of a comprehensive behaviour support plan.
What you’ll bring

Relevant tertiary qualification in an Allied Health discipline such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Speech Pathology, Social Work, or other related Healthcare discipline.

Experience working with people with disability or registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with NDIS.

Registration with AHPRA or awarding professional body where applicable

Valid Drivers Licence
(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
