genU is looking for a collaborative Behaviour Support Team Leader to provide clinical support and supervision to a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners providing person-centred support to participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

What you’ll do 

As a Behaviour Support Team Leader in our Allied Health team you’ll:  

  • Provide leadership and support to a team of 12, optimising their performance and client outcomes. 

  • Reduce and eliminate the use of restrictive practice, promote quality of life, for those who experience challenging behaviours. 

  • Proactively participate and contribute to the development of the Allied Health team’s business. 

  • Build, strengthen and promote effective, co-operative and positive. partnerships and relationships with internal and external providers.  

  • Maintain involvement and contact with relevant networks, regarding potential changes to practice or legislation, which impact service delivery. 

 

What you’ll bring 

  • Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team, with experience in the management of human, financial and physical resources. 

  • Working knowledge of NDIS including basic Quality and Safeguarding principles and core concepts and principles of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). 

  • Experience planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical programs and/or continuous improvement activities. 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in an Allied Health discipline such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Speech Pathology, Social Work, or other related Healthcare discipline. 

  • Experience working with people with disability or registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with NDIS. 

  • Registration with AHPRA or awarding professional body where applicable 

  • Valid Drivers Licence 

 

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
