genU is looking for a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Officer to help expand opportunities across our Victorian hospitality and business solutions  . What you'll do

As a Business Development Officer in our Employment Services team you'll:

  • Develop and strengthen partnerships with businesses, industry networks and community stakeholders to unlock new opportunities.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and connect organisations with workforce solutions that deliver shared value.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities, ensuring strong engagement and sustainable outcomes for customers and stakeholders.
  • Champion social procurement initiatives and supported employment pathways, helping businesses achieve their objectives while creating positive community impact.

 

What you'll bring

  • A proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes across a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience identifying opportunities, generating engagement and delivering measurable results.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and tailor solutions.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain momentum across multiple initiatives.
  • A proactive approach, curiosity to uncover opportunities, and a passion for creating positive impact.

(You'll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don't worry, we'll help guide you through this.)

 

Bonus points for

  • Experience in employment services, disability services, social enterprise or a community-focused organisation.
  • Cert IV in Disabilities /Mental Health
  • Knowledge of NDIS Supports in Employment funding, social procurement initiatives or workforce participation programs.
