Hey you!
We’re seeking a highly motivated and relationship-focused Property Business Partner to support the effective management of genU’s national property portfolio and help ensure our sites are safe, compliant and fit for purpose.
In this influential partnering role, you’ll work closely with operational leaders across the organisation, providing practical and commercially sound property advice that supports service delivery outcomes. You’ll help manage one of genU’s largest asset bases, balancing operational needs with financial performance, compliance requirements and long-term sustainability.
You’ll play a key role in coordinating property maintenance activities, delivering minor capital works projects, supporting property transactions and ensuring compliance across a diverse portfolio of leased and owned properties. Working alongside internal stakeholders, landlords, service providers and external partners, you'll help create safe, high-quality environments that enable our teams to deliver exceptional services.
This role suits someone who is commercially minded, solutions-focused and highly organised, with experience in property, facilities or asset management. You’ll bring strong stakeholder engagement skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities across a broad property portfolio.
Reporting to the National Manager, Property & Fleet, you’ll play an important role in maintaining the organisation’s property assets, supporting operational teams and contributing to the ongoing effectiveness and sustainability of genU’s property portfolio.
At genU, we’re a profit-for-purpose organisation, reinvesting our success back into programs to create real social impact. From disability and aged care support to community-focused initiatives, we’re here to help people live their best lives.
What you’ll do
As a Property Business Partner, you'll:
- Partner with operational leaders to understand property needs and provide practical, commercially focused advice that supports service delivery.
- Manage a portfolio of properties, ensuring sites are safe, compliant, well-maintained and fit for purpose.
- Coordinate maintenance programs and external service providers to deliver effective and cost-efficient property outcomes.
- Deliver property condition assessments and oversee minor capital works projects from planning through to completion.
- Support property transactions, lease activities and stakeholder relationships while proactively managing risks and opportunities across the portfolio.
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrated experience in property, facilities or asset management, ideally across a diverse property portfolio.
- Strong understanding of property compliance requirements, risk management and operational property practices.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and effectively partner with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities.
- Current Driver Licence and strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
Bonus points if you have:
- Qualification in Building and Construction, Project Management or a related discipline (Certificate IV or equivalent experience).
- Experience within community services, disability services, aged care or the not-for-profit sector.
- Experience managing external service providers, maintenance contracts and contractor performance.
- Knowledge of lease negotiations, property transactions or capital project delivery.
(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
