Salary: $36.00 - $39.00 per hour (casual rate) + Superannuation + NFP salary packaging benefits

genU is looking for a skilled and reliable Casual Chef to join our hospitality team. This is a hands-on role where you'll prepare quality food, support a diverse workforce and contribute to one of Geelong's largest production kitchens, while enjoying regular ongoing shifts and variety across multiple sites.

What you'll do
As a Chef in our Social Enterprises Hospitality team you'll:
• Prepare high-quality meals and food products in our large-scale production kitchen
• Support and mentor employees of varying abilities in a positive team environment
• Assist with menu development, food preparation and stock control
• Maintain food safety, quality and hygiene standards at all times
What you'll bring
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport
• Availability to work across operational hours between 6:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday
• Experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality customer service
(You'll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate, but don't worry, we'll help guide you through this.)
Bonus points for
• Previous experience in a production kitchen or catering environment
• Front of house, café or customer service experience
• Experience with stock control and food ordering
