We’re looking for active, motivated and caring Day Service Practitioners to join genU Adventure in Geelong.
If you love the outdoors, enjoy working in a team, and are passionate about supporting people with disability to build confidence, skills and independence, this could be the role for you.
At genU Adventure, we deliver fun and meaningful community-based programs including surfing, stand up paddle boarding, bush walking, cycling, canoeing, fitness and more. In this role, you’ll support participants to get involved in activities that challenge them, build their confidence, and help them achieve things they didn’t think were possible.

What you’ll do
As a Day Service Practitioner, you’ll:
- Support participants in adventure-based and skill-building activities that encourage growth and independence
- Assist clients with daily living tasks including personal care, hygiene and eating support where required
- Encourage and promote community participation based on individual interests and goals
- Support clients to engage in community activities, either independently or with active support (including 1:1 and 1:4 ratios)
- Help build physical health, communication skills, teamwork, confidence and overall wellbeing
- Work collaboratively with your team to deliver safe, engaging and meaningful programs
What you’ll bring
- Experience or strong interest in sport, outdoor recreation or adventure-based activities
- Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with people of all abilities
- A caring, empathetic and person-centred approach
- Confidence supporting people with varying support needs and behaviours
- Strong organisational skills and ability to follow program plans and documentation
- A genuine passion for helping others achieve their goals and personal growth
(You’ll also need)
- Certificate IV in Disability and Outdoor Recreation (or equivalent)
- Current First Aid and CPR
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
