Hey you!

We’re on the lookout for a caring and empathetic Disability Day Services Practitioner to support people with disability through engaging, person-centred day programs that promote independence, confidence, and personal growth.

In this role, you’ll support the delivery of day centre activities and active supports tailored to individual abilities, strengths, and circumstances. You’ll bring strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage documentation and program records, and experience supporting people with varying disabilities, including behaviours of concern, while creating safe, inclusive, and meaningful experiences.

If you’re someone who enjoys helping others achieve their goals and thrives in a supportive, hands-on environment that makes a genuine difference, we want to hear from you!

At genU, we’re a profit-for-purpose organisation, reinvesting our success back into programs to create real social impact. From disability and aged care support to community-focused initiatives, we’re here to help people live their best lives.

What you’ll do

As a Disability Day Services Practitioner, you’ll:

  • Support clients in adventure-based learning, empowering them to push beyond their boundaries.
  • Assist with daily tasks, including personal care, hygiene, and meal support.
  • Promote community inclusion by identifying and facilitating engagement opportunities based on client interests.
  • Encourage client participation in community activities, with support ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4.
  • Foster physical health, communication skills, teamwork, self-confidence, and overall wellbeing.

What you’ll bring

  • Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
