This is a rewarding but challenging role that requires equal parts empathy, resilience and accountability. You'll work with participants facing complex personal, social and employment barriers, including individuals who may be disengaged, resistant to support or uncertain about their next steps. Success in this role comes from building trust, having honest conversations, maintaining accountability and helping people make practical steps towards employment goals, even when progress is difficult.

What you’ll do

As an Employment Consultant, you’ll:

  • Support participants to identify and address barriers impacting their employment goals.

  • Build engagement with participants through regular coaching, encouragement and accountability.

  • Navigate challenging conversations and support participants who may be reluctant or resistant to change.

  • Connect participants with employers, training opportunities and community supports.

  • Manage a caseload while maintaining compliance, accurate records and employment outcomes.

What you’ll bring

  • Confidence building relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

  • Resilience and professionalism when working with challenging, complex or disengaged individuals.

  • The ability to motivate others, influence behaviour and encourage positive action.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • A practical, solutions-focused approach with a focus on achieving outcomes.

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)

Bonus points for

  • Experience in Employment Services, case management, community services, corrections, healthcare, rehabilitation or similar fields.

  • Experience supporting people facing barriers, disadvantage or complex challenges.
