We’re on the lookout for a practical and motivated Ground Maintenance Supervisor to lead and support a small team of supported employees in delivering high-quality grounds and gardening maintenance services. Reporting to the Grounds Maintenance Manager, this role plays a key part in helping people with disability build skills, confidence, and independence in a supportive and inclusive workplace.

 

In this hands-on role, you’ll lead a team of 2–3 supported employees, working across a variety of sites including genU locations and customer sites, depending on operational needs. You’ll be responsible for planning and carrying out daily grounds maintenance tasks while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to customer expectations.

What you’ll do

 

As a Ground Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll:

  • Communicate work tasks clearly and effectively to people with varying abilities, acting as the primary point of contact for supported employees.
  • Lead, train, and develop supported employees to build skills, confidence, and reach their full potential.
  • Plan and manage time and workload to deliver high-quality customer service, buillding on a positive to the Business Enterprise team.
  • Monitor and report on work outcomes and employee progress through clear verbal and written communication, including weekly feedback via Carelink.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive workplace by adhering to genU standards, OH&S guidelines, and all relevant policies and procedures.
