- Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and proactively identify problems before they escalate.
- Implement and maintain security measures including firewalls, intrusion detection, and other tools to safeguard data and systems.
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure — routers, switches, firewalls — and resolve connectivity issues.
- Keep systems secure and up-to-date through timely application of software and security updates.
- Provide high-level (level 3) technical support to staff and the ICT team, answering questions and guiding users through technical issues.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualifications and/or extensive experience in a relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with server hardware and virtualisation platforms.
- Experience with cloud services and technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of security best practices and tools.
(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
Bonus Points for
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting devices.
- Experience with digital voice communications and systems.
- Experience with SAP software.
- ITIL certification.
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification.
- Strong scripting skills.
