We’re on the lookout for a proactive and experienced Injury Management Specialist to lead the management of workplace injuries and illnesses, including non-work-related cases, while providing expert guidance and support to employees, supervisors, and managers in line with national legislation.
In this role, you will play a key part in developing and delivering injury prevention and early intervention programs that contribute to a safer, healthier, and more productive workplace.
You will also work closely with the National Manager to implement strategies that reduce premium costs by identifying, prioritising, and managing premium-impacting claims, while engaging with key stakeholders to achieve genuine and sustainable outcomes.

What you’ll do
As an Injury Management Specialist, you’ll:
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and ongoing review of genU’s early intervention program.
- Contribute to the development and review of GenU National Workplace Injury Management procedures.
- Support the facilitation of communication of information to all employees and other key stakeholders relating to the early intervention aspects of genU’s Workplace Injury Management procedures.
- Facilitate processes to maintain oversight of all current work-related claims and cases and non-work-related cases within profile of work to ensure continued progress while prioritising claims with significant premium impact.
- Support the Injury Management Team to be their best self while ensuring consistent and repeatable work.
- Coordinate the workplace rehabilitation and return to work of injured and/or ill workers for work and non-work-related injury and/or illness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with injured and/or ill workers, their managers/supervisors, and other identified stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
- Certificate 4 in Personal injury management.
- Approved National RTW Coordinator training certification.
- Experience in managing return to work including managing work related psychological injuries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to form and build on successful professional relationships with all key stakeholders, including insurers, medical and allied health providers etc.
- Knowledge of workers compensation legislation.
- Career history to reflect experience working in claims management, return to work and/or injury management.
(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
Bonus points for
- Tertiary studies in allied health (e.g. Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology).
