About the Role
genU Training is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Instructional Designer to complete a 6-month project focused on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and curriculum development. You will develop and refine learning and assessment materials across accredited and non-accredited courses, ensuring all programs meet high-quality standards and align with our digital learning strategy. This is a fully remote role, ideal for someone who thrives working autonomously and delivering results.
Key Responsibilities
- Convert existing curriculum into RPL-friendly documents for a range of courses, including: Cert III Individual Support, Disability & Ageing; Cert III & IV Community Services; Cert IV Mental Health; Cert IV AOD; RPL Cert IV in Career Development; and skill sets in Alcohol & Other Drugs and Mental Health.
- Develop and review innovative learning and assessment materials for accredited and non-accredited courses.
- Ensure all resources comply with VET frameworks and maintain high-quality standards.
- Apply continuous improvement processes and consult with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
- Manage workflow autonomously, delivering projects on time while collaborating across teams.
Key Selection Criteria & Qualifications
- Relevant experience in RPL, curriculum development, instructional design, or training within an RTO, education, or commercial setting.
- Knowledge of adult education theory, VET frameworks, and ability to develop compliant learning and assessment materials.
- Experience using eLearning authoring tools and Learning Management Systems, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with subject matter experts.
- TAE qualification (TAE40110 or TAE40116) highly desirable; experience in the community services sector is advantageous.
