Pay Range: genU Training Enterprise Agreement – General Staff Level 7 Start $42.96 ph + Super
Not-for-Profit: Salary package up to $15,900 per annum each FBT year plus further meals and entertainment benefits up to $2,649 per annum

Are you an experienced instructional designer with a strong background in the VET sector? Do you have a passion for developing high-quality training resources that engage learners and drive industry outcomes? genU Training is looking for an Instructional Designer to create cutting-edge eLearning and training content tailored for both corporate and community services sectors.

 

About the Role:
As an Instructional Designer, you will:

  • Design and develop high-quality eLearning and online training materials for accredited and non-accredited training.
  • Ensure compliance with RTO standards, industry best practices, and adult learning principles.
  • Leverage your expertise in LMS platforms (Canvas preferred) to create seamless learner experiences.
  • Conduct industry research and consultation to ensure training materials align with workforce needs.
  • Provide LMS administrative support, ensuring ease of use for both trainers and learners.
  • Manage multiple projects, including content creation, review, and continuous improvement of existing resources.

 
What We’re Looking For:

  • VET Sector & RTO Experience – Strong background in instructional design within an RTO or education setting.
  • LMS & eLearning Tools – Experience in authoring tools and learning platforms to create engaging training solutions.
  • Adult Learning Expertise – Deep understanding of training package requirements, competency-based learning, and various delivery modes.
  • Creative & Analytical Skills – Ability to design engaging content while ensuring compliance and industry relevance.
  • Project Management – Skilled in handling multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Interpersonal Skills – Strong ability to collaborate with subject matter experts, trainers, and industry stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency – Competence in MS Office Suite, LMS platforms, and digital learning tools.
