genU is looking for passionate and creative Mental Health Support Worker to support customers with psychosocial disabilities in achieving personal goals using board and tabletop games, Dungeon and Dragons roleplay, and general gaming.

What you’ll do

 

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you’ll:

 

  • Facilitate engaging, goal-oriented gaming sessions using recovery-based and person-centred active support models through gaming.
  • Support customers to build independence, social connections, and interpersonal skills through structured gameplay.
  • Identify and address barriers to participation, using gaming strategies to support individual goals and NDIS-funded outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, and contribute to client planning and compliance requirements.

 

 

What you’ll bring

 

  • Certificate 4 in Mental Health
  • First Aid and CPR Training within 6 months of currency
  • Experience with gaming and tabletop gaming such as Dungeons and Dragons
  • Working With Children’s Check Victoria or willingness to obtain

 

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)

 

What you’ll bring
