Hey you!

As the Manager – Health, Safety and Injury Management, you will lead the delivery and continuous improvement of safety, injury management and workers compensation practices across genU.

You’ll work closely with the Chief People Officer and senior leaders to embed systems, frameworks and a culture that minimises risk and supports recovery at work.

At genU, we’re a profit-for-purpose organisation, reinvesting our success back into programs to create real social impact. From disability and aged care support to community-focused initiatives, we’re here to help people live their best lives.

We're open to flexible hours, part-time, or job share arrangements – because great people thrive in different ways.

What you’ll do

As the Manager – Health, Safety and Injury Management you’ll:

  • Lead and continuously improve our safety systems, helping create a workplace where people feel safe, supported and set up to succeed
  • Bring safety to life by embedding practical, proactive approaches to managing risk across our teams and services
  • Oversee injury management and workers compensation, supporting people to recover well and return to work with confidence
  • Lead and develop a national team while partnering with leaders across genU to build capability, strengthen compliance and use data-driven insights to make better decisions

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety, Risk Management or a related discipline backed by strong experience leading in complex, multi-site environments
  • Proven success delivering practical, compliant safety systems (including ISO45001) and navigating WHS legislation across Australia
  • Hands-on experience managing injury management and workers compensation, with a focus on positive return to work outcomes
  • A collaborative and capable leader who communicates with impact, builds trust, uses data to guide decisions, and is passionate about continuous improvement and psychological safety

Bonus points for

  • Experience in disability, aged care or community services sectors
  • Exposure to emergency management and/or business continuity planning
  • Established professional networks in safety or injury management

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
