genU is looking for paralegal to work 2-3 days a week within its legal team. This provides a fantastic opportunity to experience in-house legal work as part of a small, high performing legal team that supports every part of our organisation.

What you’ll do
As a paralegal in our team you will:
- Conduct legal research, and drafting summaries/advice of results.
- Assist with the drafting, reviewing, and proofreading of legal documents and correspondence.
- Attending to filing and service of legal documents.
- Review and redact documents for production in response to subpoenas and other information requests in accordance with privacy and other statutory requirements.
- Conduct basis searches and enquiries.
- Undertake general administrative tasks and other duties.
- Review and analysing documents, including document inspection and preparation of lists.
- Provide legal and administrative support for multiple projects
What you’ll bring
- Experience as a paralegal/administrator or currently studying a law degree (2nd year or above).
- Great organisational skills, be proactive with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work autonomously and meet multiple deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent writing and communication skills.
(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
