We’re looking for compassionate and reliable Personal Support Workers to join our aged respite team at The Lodge in Ocean Grove. This role supports our overnight respite weekend program and includes active overnight shifts, weekend work, as well as early morning and afternoon shifts. If you’re passionate about supporting older people to live with dignity, independence, and confidence, we’d love to hear from you!

What you’ll do

 

As a Personal Support Worker, you’ll:

 

  • Support clients with daily living activities including personal care, dressing, meal preparation, and domestic tasks.
  • Assist clients to access the community through transport, shopping, and social outings.
  • Deliver person-centred support that recognises individual strengths, goals, and independence.
  • Work alongside the coordination team to support clients in achieving their support plan goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold client privacy and confidentiality at all times.

 

What you’ll bring

 

As a caring and motivated support worker, you’ll bring:

 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for supporting others.
  • The ability to work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds and varying support needs.
  • Experience or qualifications in aged care, disability, or community services.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, particularly afternoon and overnight shifts.

 

You'll also have

 

Relevant qualifications and mandatory checks including: 

 

  • Certificate III in Ageing or equivalent
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check, NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • Working with Children Check
