genU is seeking a Property Officer – Facilities and Affordable Housing to join our Property and Fleet team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with Business Partners and Senior Business Partners across multiple business units, ensuring timely responses and that appropriate safeguard measures are consistently maintained.

Our Property and Fleet team oversees genU’s owned and leased properties and vehicle fleet across Australia, ensuring the right infrastructure is in place to deliver high-quality services to our clients.

What you’ll do

 

As Property Officer you’ll:

 

  • Maintain and update information and correspondence and maintain various databases and spreadsheets relating to resident data;
  • Manage the affordable housing waitlist, reviewing applications, checking eligibility, and onboarding new tenants (inclusive of RTBA requirements);
  • Contribute to audits, quality improvement, and reporting related to tenancy and housing programs;
  • Maintain administration to Consumer Affairs Victoria and VCAT in relation to tenancy and other agreements;
  • Support the Business Partners in the development and review of contracts;
  • Manage enquiries and coordinate and support potential and existing customers.

 

What you’ll bring

 

  • Demonstrate understanding of Facilities Management including essential safety measures;
  • Understanding of Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and Access requirements and standards.
  • Competent computer skills required.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Highly motivated with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within a complex environment.

 

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
