Hey you!
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Regional Coordinator to lead the delivery, continuous improvement, and financial performance of programs that support capacity-building outcomes for marginalised people, including people with disability and those seeking to build new skills and increase their independence.
Reporting to the relevant leader, the Regional Coordinator provides strong operational and people leadership to ensure programs are person-centred, engaging, outcomes-driven, and aligned with best practice. This role supports smooth day-to-day operations across the region while maintaining a clear focus on quality, impact, and sustainability.
You will work closely with teams to coordinate services, support staff, and ensure programs are delivered efficiently and consistently. With a hands-on and collaborative approach, you will balance operational excellence, customer and participant outcomes, and financial performance.
This position suits someone who is organised, approachable, and service-oriented, with demonstrated leadership experience and a genuine commitment to empowering marginalised people through inclusive and meaningful programs. As a key point of contact for teams and stakeholders, you will ensure services are delivered in line with organisational values and strategic objectives.
At genU, we’re a profit-for-purpose organisation, reinvesting our success back into programs to create real social impact. From disability and aged care support to community-focused initiatives, we’re here to help people live their best lives.
What you’ll do
As a Regional Coordinator, you'll:
- Program Design & Evaluation: Lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of innovative, inclusive programs that build skills, capacity, and community inclusion for marginalised people. Analyse program data, monitor performance, and implement improvements to ensure outcomes and quality standards are met.
- Financial & Resource Management: Oversee budgets, resource allocation, property, fleet, and credit management. Collaborate with finance teams on debtors and ensure programs remain financially sustainable.
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage, support, and mentor multidisciplinary teams, set performance goals, foster a positive and inclusive culture, coordinate professional development, and facilitate collaboration across sites.
- Operational Oversight & Compliance: Ensure programs comply with legislative requirements and best practice standards. Lead operational planning, risk management, reporting, and contribute to policy development and strategic planning initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Representation: Build and maintain strong relationships with participants, families, carers, community partners, and external agencies. Represent the organisation at events and promote inclusive, participant-centred practices.
- Program Growth & Innovation: Identify and implement opportunities to expand program offerings, improve participant experience, and align with emerging trends and best practices in inclusion, disability, and community engagement.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Partnerships: Work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, consistent program delivery, and sustainable growth aligned with organisational goals.
What you’ll bring
- Significant leadership experience in managing and leading diverse teams.
- Experience in contract, commercial or account management settings
- Strong experience managing tenders, quotes and commercial customer portals
- Solid financial acumen, including pricing, budgets and contract variations
- Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Confident negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- A practical, detail-oriented approach with the ability to see the bigger picture
(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
Bonus points for
- Extensive experience or knowledge in running disability day services or community hubs.
- Tertiary qualifications in community services, disability, allied health, or a related field.
