We are looking for a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse Trainer to join our genU Training team! This sessional opportunity offers the flexibility to fit training around your existing commitments while sharing your skills with learners across Hobart and Launceston.

We also advocate for expanded education and training options to people who live with a disability, long-term unemployed and those most vulnerable in the community.  

      

What you’ll do  

  

As a Registered Nurse Trainer, you’ll empower learners to expand their skills and knowledge in the disability and community sectors. You will: 

 

  • Deliver short courses and skill sets including First Aid (HLTAID011) and Assist Clients with Medication Skill Set (HLTAAP001, HLTHPS006) 
  • Deliver engaging, practical training across classroom, workplace and online settings 
  • Assess learner competencies and provide constructive feedback 
  • Complete documentation and reporting to a high compliance standard 
  • Contribute positively to the genU Training team and enhance the student experience 

 

What you’ll bring  

  

  • Current AHPRA Registration (RN)   
  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent). 
  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel between locations 
  • Proven experience in the disability or community services sector. 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and digital facilitation skills 
  • A genuine passion for education, professional development, and lifelong learning 

 

(You’ll also need a Working With Vulnerable People Check (TWVP) with NDIS endorsement, and the NDIS Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
