We are looking for a passionate and experienced Sessional Trainer with a background in mental health to inspire and upskill the next generation of care professionals. As a trainer, you’ll share your knowledge, bring industry practice to life, and help learners deepen their expertise to deliver an even greater impact in their communities.
About Activ Pathways
You'll join Activ Pathways, one of our two Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) which operate under the genU umbrella. genU Training and Activ Pathways continue to operate separately, each with its own scope and strengths while sharing a common goal: empowering people through learning and skills development.
What you’ll do
As a Sessional Trainer, you will empower learners to expand their skills and knowledge in the growing mental health sector. In this role, you will:

Deliver the Certificate IV in Mental Health qualification, through interactive online sessions held during both days and evenings.

Support learners already working in the care or community sectors to advance their qualifications and strengthen their skills.

Share real-world insights from your professional experience to create an engaging, relevant, and practical learning environment.

Collaborate with the Activ Pathways and genU Training teams to continuously enhance course delivery and learner experience.
What you’ll bring
- A formal industry qualification in mental health (e.g. Mental Health Nurse, or related qualification).

Current TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).

Proven experience in the mental health or community services sector.

Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with a genuine passion for professional development and lifelong learning.

Confidence in delivering engaging online sessions and managing digital learning tools effectively.
(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.
