What you’ll do  

 

As a Sessional Trainer, you’ll deliver practical, hands-on training that prepares learners for entry-level roles in: 

 

  • Building & Construction: Deliver sector readiness programs, including White Card, basic WHS and safe use of hand and power tools. 

  • Warehousing & Logistics: Teach picking and packing processes, warehouse systems, and give learners an overview of the logistics industry. 

  • Horticulture & Nursery: Introduce learners to landscaping and nursery pathways, covering basic horticulture skills and safe work practices. 

  • Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging training sessions, including hands on skills and assessments.   

  • Work with people from different backgrounds, helping them become job-ready and build their confidence.

What you’ll bring  

 

  • Trade qualification (any trade background considered – electrician, builder, carpenter, plumber, etc.)  

  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) - Essential 

  • Strong knowledge of safety practices and confidence demonstrating safe use of tools and equipment 

  • Practical, supportive and down-to-earth communication style 

  • Ability to manage course materials, assessments and reporting independently 

  • Comfortable using technology to manage course materials, reporting and assessments independently. Familiarity with Canvas is a plus.  

  

 

Additional requirements 

 

  • Flexibility to travel across Brisbane and surrounding areas 

  • Current driver’s license and your own vehicle to transport equipment 

  • Ability to lift up to 20kgs 

  • Positive attitude and solutions focused mindset  

 

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate, and Working With Children Check – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
