Our courses support learners in developing develop core skills to build the knowledge and confidence to embark on further study and enter the workforce. What you’ll do
As a Sessional Trainer in our team, you’ll engage with a diverse cohort and deliver industry specific, job ready programs across areas such as:
- Digital & business skills - computer basics, digital literacy, business support, customer service, retail, and preparing for employment
- Hospitality - bar and gaming service, casual dining, cafe and casual dining, food production essentials.
- Cleaning & Housekeeping - commercial cleaning, health and hygiene, housekeeping and industry readiness.
- Horticulture - practical skills for entry-level horticulture roles
- Construction & Renewable Energy - Construction sector essentials, workplace safety and solar/tech readiness
- Warehousing & Production - warehousing, pick packing, food manufacturing and process work.
These courses give learners the chance to take a small step toward big opportunities - building confidence and hands-on skills to become job-ready and achieve meaningful change through employment.
What you’ll bring
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) - Essential
- Recent hands-on industry experience in your area of expertise (relevant qualifications desirable)
- A collaborative approach with great people skills, organisation and initiative.
- A positive, can-do attitude with an ability to engage diverse clients with various backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Good tech skills and an ability able to manage course materials, reporting and assessments independently. Familiarity with Canvas would great.
Additional Requirements
- Training is delivered at various locations across Victoria, requiring travel. You’ll need your own car to transport equipment (e.g., warehousing gear, café machines, training materials). Some interstate travel may also be required.
- Trainers must be able to lift up to 20kgs as part of transporting and setting up equipment.
(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
