We are looking for a passionate and experienced Foundation Skills Sessional Trainer to support adult learners in building the confidence, literacy, numeracy and employability skills they need to succeed in further education, training and employment.
As a trainer, you'll empower students through engaging learning experiences, helping them overcome barriers and achieve meaningful outcomes. You'll work with diverse learners and play a key role in developing the foundation skills that set people up for future success.
genU Training delivers job-ready, nationally recognised qualifications and vocational short courses. We empower people through education—particularly those living with disability, long-term unemployed, or experiencing vulnerability in the community.
What you'll do
As a Foundation Skills Sessional Trainer, you will:
- Deliver Foundation Skills programs including:
- Certificate I in Adult Literacy and Numeracy
- Certificate I in Transition Education
- Certificate I in Work Education
- Provide Language, Literacy and Numeracy support to students across genU Training certificate programs
- Facilitate engaging training across face-to-face and online learning environments
- Support learners from diverse backgrounds, helping them build confidence and achieve learning goals
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance learner outcomes and training quality
What you'll bring
- Bachelor of Education qualification - essential
- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) - essential
- Experience delivering adult education, foundation skills, literacy and numeracy programs
- Strong understanding of Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) principles and learner support strategies
- Disability qualifications and/or experience highly regarded
- Excellent facilitation skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds
(You'll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate, but don't worry, we'll help guide you through this.)
