We’re looking for a motivated and capable Supervisor to support people with disability to learn new skills, build confidence and flourish in a supportive workplace at genU, within our Food Services division.
In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality work for valued customers while overseeing and supporting employees with disability as they carry out these tasks. Each day presents new challenges, and you’ll use your skills and experience to ensure work is completed effectively while keeping everyone engaged, supported and motivated.
You’ll work directly with supported employees, providing guidance, encouragement and practical support as they develop their skills in a real work environment. This includes fostering a positive and inclusive workplace where individuals can grow their confidence and capabilities.
This role suits someone who is organised, approachable and person-centred, with strong communication skills and a practical mindset. You take pride in supporting people with disability to build independence, confidence and workplace skills while ensuring customer expectations are met.
Reporting to the relevant leader, you’ll play an important role in delivering meaningful employment opportunities, promoting social inclusion and contributing to positive outcomes for both employees and customers, while aligning with genU’s values and strategic goals.

What you’ll do
As a Supervisor, you'll:
- Be an engaged and active member of the Business Enterprises team
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Work effectively alongside people of all abilities, fostering an inclusive environment
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality and professionalism in all tasks
- Complete work accurately and on time while meeting business needs
- Work autonomously, including handling challenging situations and applying conflict resolution skills
- Follow all safety, OH&S, and organisational policies, including correct use of PPE
What you’ll bring
- Relevant Industry qualification and/or experience
- Previous experience leading teams and supervising work
- Ability to clearly communicate tasks to people of varying abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and effectively prioritise workloads
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks accurately and on time to meet business needs
- Commitment to following organisational policies, procedures and work instructions
- A patient and caring approach, with the ability to put others at ease
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience working in disability or a related field
- Certificate IV or higher qualification in the field of Disability Studies or leadership
(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
