Are you looking for a role that supports our unpaid carers? Are you a strong and effective communicator with a focus on advocacy? Come join genU as we are looking for a Support Carer’s Officer to join our team. Based at our office in Geelong we are looking for someone fixed term 18-month period starting as soon as possible.
As a Support Carer’s Officer you will plan and facilitate programs, events to support carers with information, education, and accessible services. You will engage with carers in identifying their needs and coordinating supports for services and networking groups for various types of care. You will aim to achieve and report on key performance indicators, manage compliance and representing genU at external meetings and events and liaising with external and internal stakeholders. About You!
Our Ideal Support for Carers Officer will have:
- Experience planning and innovating activities, programs and events that inform, educate and provide advice and counselling.
- Experience in coordination of supports, networking groups for unpaid carers and with all stakeholders.
- Carelink and HACC or similar program experience.
- Worked with Key Performance Indicators and reporting on KPI metrics.
- Administration experience.

You will need the following compliance:
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance;
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module;
- Current and Valid Australian Driver’s License;
- First Aid and CPR within 12 months
