Home Support Services Team (HSS) is looking for a Team Leader to join our longstanding, purpose driven and values-based organisation to make a real difference to people’s lives daily. As a Team Leader you will lead, enhance, and promote our skilled staff to continue to facilitate community inclusion for people living with disabilities through a wide variety supports
In this role you will:
- Provide leadership and general supervision to a small team of genU organisers.
- Be the first point of contact for rostering and general enquiries for more complex clients and support workers for the provision of individualised services provided by genU
- Use your skills, judgement, and experience to support genU organisers to resolve difficult situations and to implement solutions.
- Lead a team of dedicated workers to deliver person centred and active supports to clients.
- Use a person-centred approach to their own work and will lead, mentor and support genU organisers to implement a person-centred approach to delivering individual supports.
About You
You will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience in rostering procedures, with the ability to provide a quality client service whilst maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity when dealing with all client records and information;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal with a wide range of people and situations;
- Practice knowledge, skills and ability to lead, direct and support a small team in the area of providing Individualised supports to people with a disability or who are frail;
- A demonstrated ability to implement person centred approaches to service delivery and to support others to implement this approach;
You will need the following:
- Minimum Certificate 4 in Disability/Aged Services, other qualification or experience relevant to the field of human services;
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check;
- Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate;
- Current Working With Children’s Check;
- Current and Valid Australian Drivers License;
- Current First Aid and CPR training within 12 months
