Hey you!

We’re on the lookout for a proactive and people-focused Vacancy & Engagement Coordinator to help connect people with disability to the right housing and support options across our services.

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our accommodation pathway, managing vacancies across Supported Independent Living (SIL), Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), and other housing options. From first enquiry through to move-in, you’ll guide clients, families, and stakeholders every step of the way, ensuring a smooth, informed and positive experience.

At genU, we’re a profit-for-purpose organisation, reinvesting our success back into programs to create real social impact. From disability and aged care support to community-focused initiatives, we’re here to help people live the life they choose.

What you’ll do

As a Vacancy & Engagement Coordinator, you’ll:

  • Coordinate and manage SIL and SDA vacancies across genU’s accommodation portfolio
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of referrals through engagement with support coordinators, families and key stakeholders
  • Support clients and families from initial enquiry through to onboarding and move-in
  • Provide guidance on NDIS funding, including supporting applications and liaising with planners and stakeholders
  • Promote genU’s housing and service offerings through relationship management, events and community engagement
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure compatibility, safety and positive outcomes for residents

What you’ll bring

  • Qualification in human services (e.g. Certificate III in Individual Support or similar)
  • Experience in administration or coordination within disability, aged care or community services
  • Strong knowledge of SIL, SDA and NDIS funding pathways
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confidence working with a range of stakeholders including clients, families and external partners
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
