Are you a passionate, proactive people person? genU is seeking a Volunteer Programs Administration Coordinator to join our longstanding, purpose-driven, and values-based organization and make a real difference in people's lives daily.
In this role, you will work collaboratively, providing administrative support to the Volunteer Program team, with a focus on customer service, volunteer experience, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
As the Volunteer Programs Administration Coordinator, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Receiving service request changes from volunteers and aged care clients, and adjusting client service rosters for accuracy.
- Coordinating transport service requests for aged care clients.
- Maintaining and updating the volunteer database and records.
- Supporting volunteer recruitment, intake, training, and compliance.
- Assisting in event coordination.
- Completing financial accounts.
- Undertaking projects and other duties as directed.
About you
Our ideal Volunteer Programs Administrator is an excellent communicator, genuinely passionate about collaborating with people from all backgrounds and abilities. You will have a good understanding of volunteer engagement and a keen attention to detail. You will be able to work autonomously, meet tight deadlines, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience and ability to handle administrative tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a positive customer experience with external community members, genU clients, volunteers, and staff.
- High attention to detail, including strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Proven ability to develop rapport with both internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements
To be eligible, you must have or be willing to complete:
- Certificate IV in Business Administration and/or extensive experience in customer service or administrative coordination in a medium to large organisation.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- A current and valid Driver's License.
