Hey you!

We’re looking for a motivated and people-focused Workforce Coordinator to provide day-to-day support to site teams and supported employees within our genU Social Enterprise operations.

This role plays a key part in creating an inclusive, supportive, and high-performing workplace for people with disability. You’ll work closely with site leadership to support recruitment, onboarding, development, and employment transitions for supported employees, while ensuring best-practice processes aligned with NDIS standards are embedded across site operations.

This position suits someone who is organised, approachable, and passionate about inclusive employment. You’ll enjoy working on the ground with teams, supporting people to build skills, confidence, and meaningful employment outcomes.

Reporting to the Workforce Team Leader, with a dotted-line relationship to the Site Manager / Business Stream Leader, the Workforce Coordinator provides hands-on workforce support across the designated site/s.

You’ll act as a key point of contact for supported employees and site teams, helping to ensure employment supports are consistent, responsive, and person-centred. Your work will directly contribute to positive employee experiences and successful employment outcomes within a commercial social enterprise environment.

At genU, we’re a profit-for-purpose organisation, reinvesting our success back into programs to create real social impact. From disability and aged care support to community-focused initiatives, we’re here to help people live their best lives.

What you’ll do

As a Workforce Coordinator, you'll:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and operational support to supported employees, Workforce Coordinators, and site teams, including managing complex cases and ensuring consistent supported employment practices across sites and states.
  • Ensure supported employees receive high-quality, compliant employment supports, including correct application of the SESA Supported Wage System, appropriate access to funding, alignment between funding, rostered hours, and employment goals.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and site-specific workforce support, acting as a key Workforce contact for designated depots/sites and ensuring consistent presence and support where required.
  • Develop, deliver, and oversee training, work placement, and capability-building programs that support skill development, regulatory compliance, and pathways to open employment, including school-to-work transitions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including schools, training providers, advocacy groups, policymakers, and community partners, while advocating for inclusive employment opportunities.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on employment outcomes, recruitment activity, compliance, and program effectiveness, providing regular insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead a high-performing Employment Services team by fostering an inclusive, accountable, and values-driven culture, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and NDIS requirements, supporting staff development, and driving continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, disability, welfare, human service, psychology (or related field) and/or extensive experience in a relevant field.
  • Prior experience as a Team Leader in a complex sector environment.
  • Bonus points for experience in manufacturing or production industries.

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
