genU is looking for a Group Payroll Manager! In this role you’ll be at the heart of making sure our people are paid accurately, on time, and in line with legislative requirements. You’ll also help when things need to be investigated and resolved. This role leads the charge on all things payroll across genU, guiding a dedicated payroll team and collaborating closely with People & Culture, Finance, and external partners.

What you’ll do
As our team’s Group Payroll Manager, you will:
- Oversee genU’s end-to-end payroll, ensuring everyone gets paid accurately and on time.
- Lead, coach and develop our dedicated payroll team.
- Manage payroll operations queries and resolutions, driving a high performance payroll function.
- Identify and implement improvements to streamline processes.
- Oversee payroll audits, governance, reconciliation and ongoing compliance.
What you’ll bring
- Excellent leadership and relationship management skills.
- Significant experience in the management and administration of a large-scale payroll function (genU has over 5000 employees nationally)
- Working knowledge of SuccessFactors and SAP Payroll (WFS is also a bonus)
- Experience working with complex workforce structures (multiple EBA and award)
- An understanding of rostering/time and attendance solutions and systems.
- A passion for inclusion, wellbeing, and empowering others to thrive.
