About genU

genU is a purpose-driven not-for-profit dedicated to empowering people of all ages and abilities. Join us to be part of a values-led team making a real difference through inclusive, client-focused services. If you want a career where your work truly matters, genU is the place for you.

About the Role

As a Regional Lead within our Disability & Ageing Services division, you’ll take ownership of service delivery across Tasmania's North and North West. More than a manager, we’re looking for a true leader—someone who can navigate ambiguity, drive innovation, and lead from the front. You’ll work closely with your team to ensure services are high quality, client-focused, financially sustainable, and strategically aligned. Your ability to thrive in change and inspire geographically dispersed teams will be essential.

  • Lead and support service delivery across the region, ensuring quality, compliance, and client-centred outcomes.
  • Foster a high-performance culture across a dispersed team of Service Delivery Coordinators and frontline staff.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively, aligning delivery with financial and operational targets.
  • Strengthen relationships with community stakeholders, clients, and families, driving engagement and trust.
  • Represent genU in the community, promoting advocacy, partnership, and collaboration.

About You

You’re a strategic and autonomous leader with strong operational experience and a passion for delivering meaningful, person-centred services. You’re comfortable in agile and ever-evolving environments and lead confidently through change. With a knack for building trust, you connect deeply with your team, the community, and the people we support.

  • Proven leadership experience across geographically dispersed teams, ideally in disability, ageing or community services.
  • Strategic thinker with strong decision-making skills and experience managing budgets and KPIs.
  • Resilience and adaptability—comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving improvement in dynamic settings.
  • Local knowledge of the Tasmanian community and/or disability sector is highly desirable.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Hobart, the North, and North West of Tasmania.

As a Regional Lead, you’ll be responsible for aligning service delivery with genU’s strategic direction, ensuring compliance, and supporting staff to succeed. Your ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices will be essential in delivering meaningful outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities & Experience

  • Ensure service delivery meets quality standards, contract requirements, and client needs.
  • Foster strong partnerships with clients, families, and key stakeholders.
  • Support team development through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Represent genU in external forums, advocating for clients and promoting our values.
