As a Regional Manager within our Disability & Ageing Services division, you’ll take ownership of service delivery within the greater areas of Hobart, Tasmania. More than a manager, we’re looking for a true leader, someone who can navigate ambiguity, drive innovation, and lead from the front.

 

You’ll work closely with your team to ensure services are high quality, client-focused, financially sustainable, and strategically aligned. Your ability to thrive in change and inspire geographically dispersed teams will be essential. Lead and support service delivery across the region, ensuring quality, compliance, and client-centred outcomes.

 

Foster a high-performance culture across a dispersed team of Service Delivery Leaders and frontline staff. Manage budgets and resources effectively, aligning delivery with financial and operational targets. Strengthen relationships with community stakeholders, clients, and families, driving engagement and trust.

 

Represent genU in the community, promoting advocacy, partnership, and collaboration.

 

About you

 

  • You’re a strategic and autonomous leader with strong operational experience and a passion for delivering meaningful, person-centred services.
  • You’re comfortable in agile and ever-evolving environments and lead confidently through change. With a knack for building trust, you connect deeply with your team, the community, and the people we support.
  • Proven leadership experience across geographically dispersed teams, ideally in disability, ageing or community services.
  • Strategic thinker with strong decision-making skills and experience managing budgets and KPIs.
  • Resilience and adaptability, comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving improvement in dynamic settings.
  • Local knowledge of the Victorian community and/or disability sector is highly desirable.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • As a Regional Manager you’ll be responsible for aligning service delivery with genU’s strategic direction, ensuring compliance, and supporting staff to succeed.
  • Your ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices will be essential in delivering meaningful outcomes for our clients.

 

Key responsibilities

 

As an empowering and visionary Regional Manager your indicative responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Ensure service delivery meets quality standards, contract requirements, and client needs.
  • Foster strong partnerships with clients, families, and key stakeholders.
  • Support team development through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Represent genU in external forums, advocating for clients and promoting our values.

 

Requirements

 

To be eligible, you must have or willing to complete:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in disability or related field or a minimum Certificate IV in Disability with substantial experience;
  • Current Australian Driver’s License;
  • Working with Vulnerable People Check with NDIS ENDORSEMENT and Child Related Activity
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Certificate - "Quality, Safety & You".

 

Desirable

 

  • Strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support teams;
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills;
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
