genU is seeking a motivated and highly organised Senior Fundraising Coordinator to join our dynamic Events team. In this role, you will play a key part in driving community, corporate, and participant fundraising across the iconic Chevron City to Surf for genU, along with other genU events.

You’ll be responsible for engaging and motivating fundraisers, building strong relationships with sponsors and donors, and ensuring fundraising targets are successfully achieved. This is a hands-on role that combines strategic fundraising initiatives with on-the-ground campaign delivery.

What you’ll do

As a Senior Fundraising Coordinator in our Marketing team you’ll:

  • Build and manage relationships with community fundraisers, donors, and sponsors.
  • Develop fundraising toolkits and supporter journeys that inspire participants to exceed their goals.
  • Support corporate teams and workplace giving initiatives connected to events.
  • Provide fundraising support, resources, and motivation to event participants, schools, and community groups.
  • Monitor and report on fundraising performance and identify opportunities to maximise outcomes.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualification or commensurate experience in fundraising, events, marketing, business.
  • Experience and demonstrating success in leading fundraising, events, community engagement, or partnerships
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse supporters.
  • High-level organisational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with fundraising CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and online fundraising platforms.

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)

 

Bonus points for

  • Membership or accreditation with the Fundraising Institute of Australia (FIA).
  • Experience in peer-to-peer fundraising and participant engagement.
