Pay Range: genU Training Enterprise Agreement – Start $58.00 ph + Super
Not-for-Profit: Salary package up to $15,900 per annum each FBT year plus further meals and entertainment benefits up to $2,649 per annum

Are you an experienced trainer with a passion for delivering high-quality, engaging training? Do you thrive on helping learners develop industry-relevant skills?
We have opportunities as a sessional trainers delivering both short and long courses across face2face and online with local and interstate options.
As a Sessional Trainer, you will deliver courses based on your experience and qualifications.
Here is a snap shot of what courses we offer;
Nationally Recognised Qualifications:
- Aged Care:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing): Prepares individuals to provide person-centred support in community or residential settings for the ageing population.
- Certificate IV in Community Services: Equips learners with skills for supervisory roles or specialised tasks in the community and welfare sector.
- Disability Support:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability): Focuses on delivering support tailored to individuals with disabilities, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Certificate IV in Disability Support: Provides advanced skills for supporting individuals with disabilities, including complex needs.
- Mental Health:
- Certificate IV in Mental Health: Trains individuals to provide support to people with mental health issues, including crisis intervention and recovery planning.
- Community Services:
- Certificate III in Community Services: Offers foundational skills for roles in community services, including case work and support coordination.
- Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs: Provides specialised knowledge for supporting individuals affected by substance abuse.
Short Courses and Skill Sets but not limited to:
- Alcohol and Other Drugs: Focuses on skills for supporting individuals with substance abuse issues.
- Assist Clients with Medication: Provides training on safely assisting clients with medication administration.
- Mental Health Co-existing Needs: Designed for those supporting individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues.
- Community Mental Health First Aid: Equips learners with skills to provide initial support to individuals experiencing mental health crises.
- Construction Induction Training (White Card): Mandatory training for those entering the construction industry.
Additionally, genU Training offers "Training U For Work" courses, specifically designed to provide jobseekers with the knowledge and confidence they need to continue their study journey, enter the workforce, and create a positive future. Such as; Housekeeping, Retail, Warehousing & RSA.
These courses are available in various study modes, including on-campus, virtual, and blended formats, to accommodate different learning preferences.
About the Role
- Evaluate learner competencies to ensure skill development and knowledge retention.
- Contribute to ASQA compliance and continuous improvement processes.
- Positively contribute to the genU Training team and organizational goals.
- Deliver high quality services to existing and potential clients
- Successful and timely completion of all documents/reporting to a high standard in terms of quality and compliance
- Have a positive contribution to the training team
- Deliver training to participants in both classroom, workplace and e-learning environments
What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for dedicated professionals with a passion for education and training.
- Certificate in relevant courses (or relevant work industry experience to deliver courses)
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its successor), or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with specified units, or a diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education.
- A current valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel (student assessments in placement)
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate or willingness to obtain one.
