Not-for-Profit: Salary package up to $15,900 per annum each FBT year plus further meals and entertainment benefits up to $2,649 per annum

We are looking for a passionate and professional trainer to deliver face to face Building and Construction Short Courses. The ideal candidate will have a background in constructions or trades or a similar service, a talent for engaging diverse groups of learns and a commitment to upholding the highest the highest standards of training and compliance.

 

Training Delivery and Assessment:

  • Deliver the unit of competency CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card).
  • Conduct engaging and practical training for a range of accredited short courses and skill sets in the building and construction
  • Deliver targeted training programs in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on:
    • Solar panel installation and maintenance
    • Grid-connected battery storage systems
    • Fundamentals of renewable energy technology
  • Conduct both classroom-based and practical, hands-on training sessions.
  • Assess student competency in accordance with the principles of assessment and the rules of evidence.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their learning journey.

 

Industry Engagement:

  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and safety standards in the construction and renewable energy sectors.
  • Liaise with industry stakeholders to ensure our training remains relevant and meets industry needs.
  • Represent the RTO at industry events and forums as required.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

Essential:

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor.
  • CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card)
  • CPCCOHS2001A Apply OHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
  • Demonstrated, recent, and significant industry experience in the building and construction sector, supported by relevant vocational qualifications.
  • A passion for and understanding of the renewable energy sector.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • A current driver's license and reliable vehicle.

 

Desirable:

  • Qualifications or accredited training in renewable energy technologies (e.g., solar, battery storage).
  • Experience in delivering training for a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
  • Current industry experience in the renewable energy sector.
  • Experience in developing and contextualizing training and assessment materials.
